LPS Ltd: A Legacy of Excellence in Food & Drinks Packaging Machinery

Founded in 1999 by George Freeman, LPS Ltd draws on over 30 years of experience in the dynamic Food & Drinks Packaging Machinery industry. George’s journey began in the USA, where he served as Vice President of SASIB Beverage, before returning to the UK to establish LPS Ltd. With a vision to supply capital equipment machinery to the UK drinks market, LPS soon expanded into a full-fledged business, offering a comprehensive Food & Drinks Packaging Division.

The growth of the company was further accelerated by the addition of George’s daughter, Nicola Cramond, who joined the business, and son-in-law Alan Cramond in 2000. Alan played a key role in developing the company’s UK customer base for the Food & Drinks Packaging Division. In 2003, another family member, Louise Howe, joined after completing her studies, contributing to the continued expansion and success of the business.

The year 2009 marked a challenging time with the sad passing of George Freeman. However, his legacy and commitment to excellence lived on through the family, who continued to lead the business with the same passion and vision. In 2010, LPS Ltd introduced it’s Contract Packing Division, which saw the addition of key personnel, including Team Supervisor Billy and Team Lead Anna, along with a dedicated team of Quality Operators, who have been instrumental in maintaining the high standards that the company is known for.

In the summer of 2023, LPS relocated to a state-of-the-art 15,000 sq. ft. facility at Riverside Business Park. This move allowed for the creation of a dedicated Quality Inspection area, as well as expanded warehouse space capable of storing over 1,000 pallets.

Most recently, in January 2024, LPS achieved approval from HMRC to operate as a Bonded Excise Warehouse. This new development further enhances the company’s service offerings, supporting its continued growth and expansion.
